Nine vehicles involved in multiple accident on Thika superhighway

12 Aug 2014

Nine vehicles were on Tuesday morning at around 10 am involved in a multiple accident on the busy Thika superhighway next to Clay Works Ltd. The accident occurred after a period of light rain which was suspected to have made the road slippery.

One witness at the accident scene said a saloon car travelling from Nairobi changed lanes abruptly confusing the driver of  a Githurai 45 bus which reportedly skidded when trying to avoid the car.  The bus was then hit from the rear by other vehicles. The saloon car was however said to have sped off.

No deaths were reported from the accident and the vehicles involved were towed to Kasarani police station.
