In a twist of events, Kenyatta University Student leader Joshua Ayika has been exposed after recent unrest at the instituition that he had engineered.

According to investigations into the cause of the unrest that saw transport along the Thika Highway stall for hours earlier in the week, Ayika had engineered the unrest in a desperate attempt to see himself graduate.

According to insider information and papers seen by the Viusasa News Desk, the student leader was on the verge of being discontinued from his law degree on account of his dismal grades.

It is possible that even if he graduates from KU, he will still miss out on an opportunity to join the Kenya School of Law as he will not have attained the required pass mark.

Trouble reportedly began after the school admin disqualified him from taking a second trip to Germany in line with school’s laws that allow only one trip per semester.

The bridge that the students reportedly refused to use, connects the Nyayo Hostels and the other side of KU and was put in place after a spate of accidents from the railway line that separates the Nyayo Zone and the main campus.

There was also rising concern on a scattering of muggings, prompting the government to put up the bridge in a bid of streamlining movement and keeping the students safe.

The university has also dismissed an internal memo that claims the instituition had charged students a KSh 9,999 fine to cover the damages to the property during the arrest.

A fake memo that had been shared online and which has now been disowned by the university.

The said memo has also informed students that resumption of school would take place in January and would be dependent on the payment of the fine failure to which, students unable to raise the fee would be forced to take the semester off.

A statement from the school asked the students to ignore the memo and await official communication from the school on the way forward.
