A 25-year-old woman was on Thursday arraigned before a Kibera court for allegedly sending abusive and threatening messages to her former househelp.
The court heard that Martha Munuve on June 5 at White House estate in Lang'ata, Nairobi, sent a message to Mebo Muhambe meant to cause her needless anxiety, inconvenience and annoyance.
“You are very stupid so you thought that Allan was going to marry you after telling him lies. No wonder you don’t have a husband, useless woman. Don’t you ever tell lies against me or I will kill you," read the SMS.
Munuve denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Mereza Opondo and was released on a Sh50,000 bail and surety of similar amount.
The case will be heard on October 8.
