Parliament Majority Leader Aden Duale's tribulations seem to be multiplying after governors, rift valley region leaders and elders ganged up against him.

The leaders have united in condemning his careless remarks with some even threatening to take legal action against the embattled MP.

Joining the critic crusade, Kiambu Governor William Kabogo vowed to sue Duale for inaccurately accusing him of misappropriation of public funds.

Governor Kabogo on Wednesday described Mr Duale’s remarks as an insult to him and also termed it as a public display of disrespect for mothers.

“Let us stop politics of insults. After uttering the words, he called me to say that it was a slip of the tongue. I will deal with him legally," said Mr Kabogo.

Aden Duale uttered the derogatory remarks while addressing attendees of celebrations to mark the third Mara Day at Maasai Mara University, where he accused Governor Kabogo and Governors Isaac Ruto (Bomet) and Jackson Ranguma (Kisumu) of ignoring Senate summons to answer audit queries.

Governor Kabogo told off Mr Duale by asking him to address dissent within his URP party and keep of the TNA with of the coalition government.

The Governor also told Duale to accord mothers in the country the respect they deserve.

"You cannot mention people’s names and say money does not belong to their mother. Why can’t you first say it not yours or your mother’s,” an openly infuriated Kabogo said.

The governor however said that transparency and accountability have to be promoted in the issuance of funds to counties so as to ensure the money served the intended purpose.
