No need for national dialogue, says MP

11 Jun 2014

Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire and nominated MCA Ben Ombima have called upon CORD leaders to drop their calls for a national dialogue saying that the Jubilee administration was not ready for such talks. They also termed the dialogue as a misguided waste of political energy for the opposition as it could legitimise the Jubilee administration.

“Runaway insecurity, corruption, inflation, food shortage in some parts of the country, negative ethnicity, systematic auctioning of the country to China and weakening of diplomatic relations with the West are clear signs that Jubilee cannot deliver on its election manifesto,” Bosire said.

He also said that any regime falling short of all expectations like Jubilee should ship out or be removed by the people using constitutional means adding that it was not the role of the opposition to rescue a drowning regime.

He accused Jubilee of pretending to have the interests of Kenyans at heart.

Ombima also lashed out at Jubilee for “pretending to have cancelled a planned national dialogue” citing claims that it had been politicised.
