A Kenya Police Reservist (KPR) camp in Milihoi-Amu Ranch in Lamu was on Monday night burnt down by unknown attackers several kilometers from Hindi town, a location of a past attack.
The attackers, reported to have numbered over 50, raided the camp at about 9pm in Mkunumbi Ward leading to a fierce battle that lasted about five hours between the Kenya Police Reservist officers and the attackers.
They later fled after they were overpowered by the KPR.
This is the second attack in two days in the troubled Lamu county where 21 people were on Sunday butchered in the third attack since 68 people were massacred in Mpeketoni village three weeks ago.
An additional five people were killed in Witu village bringing the death toll to over 90 since the attacks begun.
