At least one person was killed and several injured when armed assailants hurled a grenade at a restaurant in Kenya’s north eastern town of Wajir. The attackers then sprayed the building with bullets before escaping, Wajir police chief reported on Tuesday.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, the latest in a string of uncertain terror activities along Kenya’s border with Somalia and the coastal region.
In a separate attack, gunmen in Kenya’s coastal Lamu district torched a Kenya Police Reservist camp on Monday night.
This follows massacres in the same area in which at least 87 people have been killed, according to the Red Cross.
