Esther Adongo Arunga, wife to Quincy Zuma Wambitta Timberlake has now also been charged over the alleged murder of their three year old son, Sinclair Timberlake. Esther was a former TV personality and law graduate.
This comes after Quincy, aged 34, appeared in court earlier this month where he was charged with the murder of their son.
Detectives from the Pine Rivers Child Protection and Investigation Unit on Thursday charged Esther, also aged 34, with being an accessory to the murder of their son.
Criminal lawyer Chris Ford, who is representing the couple in their separate legal cases, said Esther had was intending to fight the charges in court. "We'll be seeking bail as soon as is practicable," he said.
Ms Arunga was a lawyer and television personality in Kenya before she married Timberlake and migrated to Australia.
During the lead-up to the Kenyan 2012 elections, Mr Timberlake was arrested numerous times and placed under house arrest by the Kenyan police. He later declared he would contest Kenyan elections in 2017.
