TRAILER: 'Non-Stop' - Liam Neeson plays a U.S. Marshal trying to stop a terrorist onboard his non-stop flight from New York to London. The terrorist turns the tables on Neeson, however, framing him for the crimes.

PLOT: A hijacked flight, anonymous text messages and an alcoholic air marshal are a recipe for a twisted plot in the film, “Non-Stop.”

Liam Neeson stars as federal air marshal Bill Marks in this action film. Marks is stuck on an international flight in an implausible situation that even a tech genius wouldn’t be able to figure out. But Marks does.

Before he gets too far off the ground, he receives text messages from a would-be anonymous terrorist who wants $150 million or someone will die on the flight every 20 minutes.

But this isn’t the entire story. Marks’ partner, another air marshal, is the first victim of this well thought-out plot. Unknown to Marks, his partner carries a briefcase full of “blow” (cocaine) onboard the flight. This is a distraction for the real issue: a bomb threat.

Julianne Moore stars as Jen Summers, who befriends Marks. She and every other character are under suspicion of being the terrorist. No one can be trusted, not even Marks.

Every time Marks tries to figure out what’s really going on, he locks himself in the lavatory, smokes cigarettes and wants to take a swig of the closest alcoholic beverage he can get his hands on. It’s a bad scene even on an airplane. Marks can’t hide his personal issues. Passengers know this and try to expose Marks’ weaknesses. Before he was an air marshal, Marks was a police officer until he was fired, then he became an inept air marshal. But that’s not working out too well, either.

The worst part of this very long overseas flight is that there is nowhere for Marks to go. He has his badge, his gun and two people who trust him. The co-pilot, crew and passengers turn on him. Not only does Marks have to defend himself, he still has to convince the surviving co-pilot to fly the airplane low enough to equalize the bomb blast when it does explode.

There’s nothing scarier than being a passenger on an airplane with a bomb and an unstable air marshal. No one will want to fly anywhere again, not even if it’s free.
