Police Friday morning gunned down five suspects and arrested another after a robbery incident at Top Plaza building along Kindaruma Road in Kilimani, Nairobi.
There was heavy exchange of gunfire between the police and the suspects before several of them escaped in a white Toyota Fielder vehicle, carrying away laptops and an unknown amount of money.
The suspects had raided the Mumias Sugar Nairobi office premises and tied two security guards outside the offices. One of the watchmen managed to secretly alert the police.
A pistol and tools used to break into the building were recovered.
