Nairobi University law graduate among terrorists in Garissa attack

5 Apr 2015

A University of Nairobi law graduate has been reported to have been among the four gunmen involved in the Garissa terrorist attack. Abdirahim Abdullahi, son of a government official in Mandera county, joined al Shabaab after graduating in 2013.

The father is said to have reported his son's disappearance and had been helping police trace him by the time the Garissa University massacre occurred.

A Garissa-based official said the government was aware Abdullahi had joined the Somali based militant group.
