The Muslim for Human Rights (Muhuri) organization has supported the growing calls for a referendum saying it was the best way to seek redress to issues affecting the country since the government had failed to listen to the opposition.
Speaking at Muhuri offices in Mombasa on Thursday, Deputy executive director Rahma Gulam lashed at the government for failing to admit that the country had many challenges that needed to be addressed.
She said continued insecurity, high cost of living, and improper implementation of the constitution should be addressed.
