Quincy Timberlake charged with murder of son in Australia

2 Sept 2014

Quincy Timberlake, husband to one-time television personality Esther Arunga was on Tuesday morning arrested by police in Australia. Quincy was arrested in connection with the death of his three-year-old son, Sinclair.

The arrest comes after an initial charge of murder when police said that an autopsy conducted on Sinclair showed significant internal injuries.

Police were called to Timberlake and Arunga’s house in Kallangur, Brisbane North on June 18 after paramedics were unable to resuscitate Sinclair who the couple told police had fallen down the stairs while playing with his two-year-old sibling.

The couple said they gave Sinclair pain medication before putting him to bed. When the boy’s condition worsened the couple called paramedics who were however unsuccessful. The police were then involved and they took the couple in for questioning.

Quincy Timberlake first hit Kenyan headlines after  Esther Arunga, once considered a TV siren quit her lucrative job at KTN and joined Jazz maestro Joseph Hellon’s controversial Finger of God church.

Arunga then got married Timberlake shortly after which the three launched a presidential bid under their PlaCenta political party.

The presidential bid failed and the couple later relocated to Australia after Timberlake alleged that he was granted asylum to save his life after being arrested and tortured while in custody on charges that were later dropped.
