29 Aug 2014

State House has confirmed that one of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s escort bullet proof vehicles was stolen from his police driver on Wednesday evening.

State House through spokesman Manoah Esipisu however clarified that the vehicle, a BMW with private number plates was not part of the current fleet of vehicles.

The vehicle that police were still looking for as of Thursday evening was stolen from David Muchiri, the driver, in Ruai at 8pm as he was heading home to the Ruai police residential houses.

Muchiri said he was accosted by three men wielding AK47 assault rifles who stripped him and abandoned him in a thicket before making away with the vehicle.
