A Kenyan Safari Express aircraft that went missing Sunday night was found on Monday crashed in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, killing all the three aboard who were burnt beyond recognition.
The chattered aircraft was headed for Magadi in Kenya from Mwanza, Tanzania when it reportedly crashed on Sunday night. The wreckage of the plane was sighted in the forest on Monday morning and it had apparently burnt after crashing.
According to Kenya Airports police, the air control officials in Dar-es-salaam lost contact with the plane soon after it took off on Sunday at about 7.26pm.
The Fokker 27 MK 500 plane registration 5Y-SXP was to stop at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi at 8.36pm Sunday for reverse screening but failed to show up.
Police choppers were on Monday morning dispatched to search for the plane.
