CORD leader Raila Odinga has said he will not appear before the Parliamentary Powers and Privileges Committee investigating corruption allegations against members of the Public Accounts committee.
This came as the probe failed to take off yesterday as planned, after PAC chairman Ababu Namwamba, who was the first witness, demanded that his accusers give evidence first.
Namwamba was categorical that he will only be able to give his side of the story and respond to all the issues raised once he knows whohis accusers are and what he is being accused of.
During the meeting, sources disclosed that Namwamba demanded that he be allowed to face his accusers in the committee.
“If I am to respond to questions the one allegingshould ask the questions first. I believe that it is not proper to respond to issues that have not been called to respond to,” Namwamba reportedly said.
