Kidnapping, the new business in town

8 Nov 2013

Everyday we wake up to a continuously advancing world in all available spheres relating to mankind's existence.

There are technological advancements, improvements in medical fields, the economy and so on. But some cases are more retrogressive rather than progressive.

Cases of kidnapping have seen a rise in recent times in the country with criminals targeting the well to do in the society and their relatives. In rare cases though, the kidnappers have even targeted individuals without much to their names.

But then, the plot gets thicker when some people decide to fake their kidnaps just to make a quick buck.

What is most shocking is the number of kidnapping cases reported. Every other day, something's on the news, on the telly and the papers about somebody kidnapped somewhere in the country.

Well, if you have nervous pockets, you know what to do. Grab that kid next door, lock him up and demand ransom from the monied parents.

It's a simple business plan, a cool business idea and whoever came up with it should file a patent. Who knows? Hello could make millions of shillings if awarded the patent. Then whoever would like to participate can get a license and pay tax. That means more revenue.
Did I hear revenue? You heard right. Our honourable parliamentarians should stew a bill to legalize this business. After all, it would give them more cash to rob and shout over up there at bunge. It would also be a good addition to the lining on the pockets of the big guys up there in government.

Oh. And for the endangered species of the population, get some bodyguards and remain indoors. Lock yourself up, get an AK47 riffle and stay safe.
