At times I wonder what is taught in our university campuses in these recent times.
You'd think by the time one gets to the university, be it of your choice or not, you have had enough time to grow as a being and most importantly, as a person who lives with other people (thus the name community).
I look around the campus I am at and it amazes me when a fellow student walks by all rowdy, 'comrade power' being the word he's abusing most. So every once in a while I do like to ask the question: what does the phrase mean.
Comrade Power. In my opinion it refers to the point in time that, after the 3-6 years you're in campus, you have either been:
1. Wrongfully accused as a group of law abiding CITIZENS and members of the University Community.
2. Empowering a fellow member of the university for a given agenda that they have.
Apart from these, I do not expect a grown man (read as idiot) to be shouting on top of his lungs 'Comrade Power' while he's almost knocking down the lady's hostel door with the undoubted aim of 'comrade must enjoy' hooliganism.
Is it too much to ask from a fellow student to JUST act as they would like others to treat them. Just as simple as that. You are annoying...intentionally...everybody around you.
'Comrade Power' the 'Do you know your neighbour' initiative! Be a person in the society that you would like and admire your fellow comrade to be to or for you.
