KUPPET urges members to vacate terror risk areas

9 Apr 2015

The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) chairman Omboko Milemba has urged its members still working in North Eastern to vacate immediately over heightened insecurity.

Milemba said the government had failed to provide security to teachers working in those areas and that nobody's safety was guaranteed.

“We raised the matter of insecurity in those areas but the government dismissed us. Now we insist teachers working in those terrorist-risk areas should leave,” Milemba asserted while speaking at the Ebusiratsi Special School in Emuhaya subcounty, Vihiga county.

Milemba urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to bolster security and give it the seriousness it deserves to win the war on terror.
