~ Why do the words "overlook" and "oversee" mean opposite things?

~ If aweSOME means good, why does aweFULL mean the complete opposite?

~ Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?

~ Why isnt 11 pronounced tenty one? (there is 21,31,41,1001 etc)

~ If horrific means to make horrible, does terrific mean to make terrible?

~ If 'i am' is reported the shortest sentence, could 'i do' be the longest?

~ Who's cruel idea was it to put an 's' in the word lisp?

~ If you take an oriented person and spin him around several times, does he become disoriented?

~ If a 'black box' flight recorder is never damaged during a plane crash, why isnt the whole damn plane made of the same material?

~ If jerseys shrink in the rain, why dont sheep shrink when it rains?

~ If we always say ' dear ladies and gentlemen', can ladies be gentle?
